Cancellation Terms & Conditions – ’t Sluisje

General Terms

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. Additional provisions are included at the end of this document.

These terms apply to all reservations unless different written agreements have been made in advance.

Once a reservation has been confirmed by us (in any form of communication), the following cancellation terms apply.

These terms apply to regular reservations and do not apply to tickets. For ticket conditions, please refer to: Contact > FAQ.

1. Cancellation Terms for Individual Reservations (up to 20 guests)

For reservations up to 20 guests, the following cancellation fees apply:

• Cancellation more than 14 days before the reserved date: no cancellation fee will be charged.

• Cancellation 14 days or less before the reserved date: 25% of the reservation value will be charged.

• Cancellation 7 days or less before the reserved date: 50% of the reservation value will be charged.

• Cancellation 3 days or less before the reserved date: 75% of the reservation value will be charged.

• In case of a no-show (cancellation on the day of the reservation or failure to appear), 100% of the reservation value will be charged.

Please note:
Reservations made within 7 days before the reserved date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the reservation value in case of cancellation or no-show.

2. Cancellation Terms for Groups of 20 Guests or More

For groups of 20 guests or more, the following cancellation fees apply:

• Cancellation more than 30 days before the reserved date: no cancellation fee will be charged.

• Cancellation 30 days or less before the reserved date: 25% of the reservation value will be charged.

• Cancellation 15 days or less before the reserved date: 50% of the reservation value will be charged.

• Cancellation 6 days or less before the reserved date: 75% of the reservation value will be charged.

• In case of a no-show (cancellation on the day of the reservation or failure to appear), 100% of the reservation value will be charged.

Please note:
If a reservation is made within the cancellation period mentioned above, the applicable cancellation percentage applies immediately from the moment of booking.

3. Reservations Made Three Months or More in Advance

For reservations made three months or more before the reserved date, the cancellation terms for groups of 20 guests or more always apply, regardless of the number of guests in the reservation.

4. Reservations on Days We Are Normally Closed

If we open specifically for a group on a day when we are normally closed, additional conditions apply.

These conditions depend on:

• the day and time;

• the size of the group;

• the agreements made.

We may open on alternative days for groups from 35 guests onwards, with a maximum capacity of approximately 55 guests.

If the number of guests falls below the minimum of 35 guests due to individual cancellations, a buy-out fee of €90.00 per missing guest will apply to reach the minimum number required, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Special arrangements may have different conditions.

5. Private Venue Hire

When a private venue hire reservation has been confirmed, we open specifically for the group and arrange staff and any additional services required.

In case of cancellation of a private venue hire reservation, regardless of the applicable cancellation period, we are required to charge a fixed fee of €500.00 for preparations, staff, performers and other arrangements.

These costs are separate from the regular cancellation percentages and are payable from the moment the reservation has been confirmed.

6. Additional Services, Rentals and Materials

If we need to purchase or hire additional items specifically for the reservation, such as:

• glasses;

• tableware;

• flowers;

• table linen;

• other materials or services;

these costs will be charged separately.

These costs are fully payable by the customer, even in case of cancellation.

This applies from the moment the order or rental has been definitively confirmed.

7. Moving a Complete Reservation to Another Date

Moving a complete reservation is not considered a cancellation, but a change of reservation date.

A date change is only possible for the complete original party and may take place a maximum of once within the same calendar year.

If the reservation is moved within the applicable cancellation period, but no later than 72 hours before the reserved date, an administration fee of €5.00 per reserved guest will be charged.

If the reservation is moved within 72 hours before the reserved date, 25% of the total reservation value will be charged.

The prices applicable on the new reservation date will apply. Any price increases will be passed on.

If the price on the new date is lower, no refund or price adjustment will be made.

The agreed relocation costs remain payable.

If a reservation is cancelled after it has previously been moved, 100% of the reservation value will be charged.

8. Options

An option reservation is granted with a predetermined expiry period of 7 days.

If an option is not converted into a confirmed reservation before the expiry date, it will automatically expire.

9. Changes and Final Number of Guests

Changes to a reservation must always be communicated by email.

If changes are made on the day of the reservation, please also contact us by telephone.

The final number of guests must be provided by email no later than:

• 14 days before the event for regular reservations;

• 30 days before the event for group reservations.

If the actual number of guests is lower than the final confirmed number, the confirmed number of guests will be charged.

Additional guests can only be accepted if sufficient capacity is available. These additional guests will be charged accordingly.

10. Cancellation of a Show Evening by ’t Sluisje

If the number of reservations on a specific date is insufficient to organise a show evening, we reserve the right to cancel that evening.

11. Final Provisions

By making a reservation, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

These terms apply to all our reservations and have been filed with the Chamber of Commerce Amsterdam.

We reserve the right to change or update these terms and conditions at any time. The terms applicable at the time the reservation was confirmed will apply to that reservation.
